Ihor Havryluk
Mr. Havryluk is a consulting geologist specializing in coalbed methane. He is a graduate of City College of New York and was awarded a Master’s Degree in Geology by the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. He began his professional career as a geologist with Huntley & Huntley, Inc. in Pittsburgh, Pa., a petroleum engineering-geology consulting firm. Mr. Havryluk then worked as a geologist with U.S. Steel Corp., Marathon Oil Company, and Texas Keystone, Inc.
Mr. Havryluk has been involved in coalbed methane since 1980, while employed by U.S Steel’s Resource Development Department. Initial coalbed methane work was in the Warrior Basin of Alabama. Subsequently, he has conducted coalbed methane studies in Northern and Central Appalachian Basins, Warrior Basin, Illinois Basin and Arkoma Basin. He is the corporate secretary of the North American (formerly Pittsburgh) Coalbed Methane Forum, Inc. Mr, Havryluk continues to wok as a consultant in the coalbed methane industry.
