  • Kashy Aminian

    Kashy AminianProfessor of Petroleum & Natural Gas Engineering, has 28 years of distinguished service in both industry and academia. Dr. Aminian has extensive experience in reservoir engineering and natural gas engineering. He holds MS and PhD degrees both from University of Michigan. His research activities and interest include unconventional natural gas resource development, reservoir characterization, and coalbed methane. He has published over 100 technical articles. He was the recipient of the “SPE Eastern Region Service Award” in 1999 and “WVU Foundation Award of Outstanding Teaching” in 2000. He has taught several short courses on “Coalbed Methane Reservoir Engineering,” “Pressure Transient Analysis,” and "Gas Storage.” Aminian is member of Engineering Accreditation Commission. He also serves on the editorial committee for SPE Formation Evaluation and Reservoir Engineering Journal and Northern West Virginia SPE Section board of directors.
